Background
Sam has worked in both practice and industry settings for over 10 years, gaining a wealth of experience within the finance and accounting profession. Starting in an apprenticeship role and working her way up to management across a range of industries including aviation, property, psychological consultancy, hospitality and SEND education.
Sam is passionate about achieving a harmonious work/life balance, having 3 daughters and working full time has its challenges and that’s why facilitating flexible working hours where possible is important to SFD.
Expertise
Sam is level 2 & 3 AAT qualified, Xero certified and a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Qualified in other areas by experience, Sam works in all areas of the business, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and Management Accounts. She is keen to understand a business and its processes, being involved in the growth and development and celebrating the successes.
She has excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities, and because of these she has worked with many of our current clients since the beginning.
Likes
Long walks, catching up with friends and time with family.
Dislikes
Parsnips and the idea of starting a movie after 8pm
Less about work…
With 3 girls ranging in age, there isn’t always a lot of free time. Sam enjoys walks solo or with her family, exploring new National Trust trails whenever possible and meals out with her husband when their eldest offers to babysit.
